Sometimes, the more you learn the dumbest you are, unlearning what becomes useless is a good way to really start learning.
Here I am again, in front of this white page, a mirror to my soul, another source of wisdom and a spot where I can freely express my emotions thru words in the form of letters. Maybe people get to read this, I really don't know, but it's a good exercise to help me understand and acknowledge many things.
Today I took a step back in order to keep moving forward. I decided to start a process that I call Emotional and Spiritual Detox or E.S.D. As usual I'll be very brief, I know many people don't like reading a lot, and they crave a message that goes straight to the point, that's what I call clear and precise communication, keeping it simple but powerful.
I have to mention that we are all spiritual beings having a human experience, and after you really understand and digest this fact, your life takes another dimension that leads you to a whole new truth.
We are born perfect, we are wide awake, but since that day, our human brain becomes a sponge, and it absorbs many things thru our senses, shaping who you become, not who you really are. And where you develop, and with who tells a lot about yourself and your close friends and relatives. That helps you figure out how you behave in certain ways, and what really makes you you, or why others make you. Everything becomes an influence, from media, to a whole collection of what I call "systems" that can be political point of views, religion, education as we know it, among others.
So at the end, humans created these systems in order to control people and society, that's how it has always been, and that is how it will always be, no doubt about it.
Now I understand why I felt like a rebel sometimes, I wasn't comfortable with many things and rules. Specially those that come from generation to generation. I was like, are we supposed to be like that or we have freedom to choose how I really want to think and act like?, understanding and embracing respect and moral rules of course. Well, I decided to believe in myself, and I take good things from those systems, they are not bad at all, but I keep away from the controlling part of them that put people in zombie mode and in a state of trance. I didn't want to be another robot, I wanted to have full control of my emotions, feelings, actions, and more importantly, about my FAITH.
That's how you become a leader and an agent of change for yourself, others, and to correct what you think needs to be corrected. So it takes one simple but firm step, emotional and spiritual detox. That's why I tell people that think that I'm a Buddhist that I am not. I'm spiritual, it means freedom from religion, faith in yourself and a higher being, that I call God. So I might have some small Buddhas around my house for decoration, but to me Buddha means "the enlightened you" so I understand it's about me, not about someone else. I take full responsibility now for my feelings, actions and emotions. And I feel the main character in this human being role.
Once you take this important detox step, you'll clean yourself from a lot of paradigms that kept you a victim of others, it will introduce you to your real self, the most perfect being in this universe, a mirror of god himself, and negativity and other things that were causing struggles in your learning process will disappear, and you will be lead with divine guidance to the root of everything, your REAL SELF.
